I’m B Renee’ Gourdine—founder of Just B, encourager at heart, and a woman who finally gave herself permission to be present, be grounded, and be bold.

After graduating with honors from the University of Maryland Global Campus with a degree in Psychology, I made a life-changing decision: to stop shrinking, start healing, and step fully into the purpose God placed within me. It wasn’t easy—but it was necessary.

Each month, I share a personal message that reflects my journey of growth and intentional living. It’s a gentle reminder that progress doesn't require perfection—just presence, courage, and faith.

Every day, set out to fill your GEM (Growing Every Moment) bag. Identify nuggets with every interaction. Keep some for yourself & share some with friends.

Many strategic planning and brainstorming sessions desire to solve an issue or sometimes conjure up something. LOL Something like, well never mind, I don’t want to offend anyone.

Every plant requires rain. It’s okay to cry.

Feeling overwhelmed? Tired? Lost? Lonely? Don’t fret. Don’t explore to find refuge in unhealthy resolutions. In the weakest moment, an answer is nearing. Just PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens)!

Looking for the answer, can’t find it anywhere? Questioning family, friends and neighbors, subdued responses to your despair. Looking for the light at the end of a dark tunnel? Suffocating in melancholy? There is a simple solution. Although it may appear far away it is so near. Connect with the atmosphere.

O Lord, My God, how excellent is thy name. You have examined me, and you know me. You alone know when I sit down and when I get up. You read my thoughts. You watch me when I am traveling and when I am resting. You are acquainted with my ways. Amazingly, you know what I am going to say even before a single syllable is muttered. You are all around me, front, back, sides, above and below my feet – I pray often for you to order my steps. Keep me on track.

Recently, I had the opportunity to hear the story of Jamie Kern Lima found of IT Cosmetics. Her story is one that encompasses a mountain of “Nos” before she received her YES! No, you don’t look the part. No, you are not good enough. No, you don’t fit in. No, not this time. No, No, No. I noted something that captivated my attention – Do you listen to the No or the All Knowing? This stuck with me.

If customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist. Clearly list and describe the services you offer. Also, be sure to showcase a premium service.

Your existence requires you to be SALTY. Salt to preserve. Salt to enhance. Salt to bind. Salt to enhance God’s flavors of the earth. Just think, if you were to lose your saltiness, how would your assignments taste godliness? It’s okay, be SALTY.
